Hey guys, been lurking here for a bit and finally decided to start posting. I’m a 20+ year guitar player that’s recently dove headfirst into bass and loving it. My buddy and I have been doing a lot of video/distance jam type things over the last year and half with covid being what it’s been and I decided a few months ago we needed some bass in our videos. I picked up a cheapie Ibanez GSR205SM to mess around with (and have to say I’m fairly impressed with it). Then as luck would have it the local MetallicA tribute band in the DFW area happened to lose their bass player and I’m friends with everyone in the band. I’ve jammed with them a few times on guitar in the past, and long story short I’m their new bass player!
So I go from a few months ago deciding we need a little bass in our YouTube videos to landing a full time bass slot in a MetallicA tribute! I’m pumped and diving in hard, so I’m sure I’ll be floating around here more and more in the coming months!
