Ive always admired his playing . It's unique, especially in the Gospel genre. He still plays that fender P Lyte from the 90's. He does a lot with just a 4 string and that pedal.

He is a great example of Marcus Miller's advice to settle on gear quickly so you can concentrate on the music.

This must be a recent addition. He has had a black one forever. This white one I've never seen him with before. I wonder if this is an older model or one of the new reissues like a Duff or Boxer ?

Yep. I definitely associate him with this style of bass, like I do Marcus with a Fender 70's 3 bolt Jazz .
