So last night we started our second set at a Bikers Helping Bikers rally with 'I'm Your Captain', a great bass song. Out in the distance I see lightning...not good. We go on and start "Let it Rain' (by Clapton) and just as we finish it lightning strikes close and we announce we are packing it up. 2 minutes later there is thunder, lightning and sideways rain with 60 mile an hour winds. We safely made it out OK but what a scary experience. We ended up inside the Harley dealership soaking wet after we got our gear safe. There was a 2" river of water flowing out in the parking lot. Good thing we got paid were safe and now our drummer might head my warning about incoming storms and not give me the "maybe it will go around us" crap. I am the new official weatherman for our band.
