That 1 Guy

From Wikipedia:

Grindcore... characterized by heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, blastbeats, crust punk-influenced riffing, short songs, and a vocal style consisting of growls and higher-pitched vocals... Lyrical concepts range from social and political issues to gore and horror to humor.

Personally, I don't even like grindcore that much, I was just saying that That 1 Guy does not show any of those characteristics.
Does not show any of th... oh... bu... wha... you... :eek: Here's what is wrong with that definition;

He definitely uses heavily distorted (effectively) down-tuned guitars, has punk influenced riffing and writes short songs. His vocal style is varied and could quite easily be described as "consisting of growls and higher-pitched vocals" and his lyrical content sits very neatly within the confines of that incredibly loose definition!

Ok ok, he's not grindcore, sorry for upsetting the delicate balance and I hope that EMO bands don't find themselves suddenly reclassified in the wake of my foolish actions. Heaven forbid that the ripple I have caused in the genre-pigeon-hole-space-time-continuum is so damaging that they will be flung off into space in a rapidly decaying orbit towards the sun... and what a shame that would be, eh?

Okay, what I really want to know is, what the hell is thing he's playing?
Why, it's the magic pipe, don't you know!?!

Quite interesting. I like it! I would like to see some tech specs on that instrument he's playing, I love that weird DIY stuff.

BTW Wikipedia is user modifiable so don't expect everything to be completely true. Grind and grindcore are two different animals.

Peace
