That Fretless sound

Hi guys, does anyone have any ideas on how to get that frestless tone, kind of like that tone they get on that first Firm album, is this just a combo of chrous and reverb or what. I'm using an ampeg svp-pro and amp 610 cab, with a Fender Jazz.
