The 2008 Stanley Cup Playoff Thread

Blow an early 2-0 lead
Give up the tying goal with under 30 seconds left
Lose in OT in the 1st minute

Bravo, guys...bravo.
:hmm: :spit: :(

Losing a game like that either crushesyou or pumps you up for the next one.
We'll see.

ugh blew a 3 goal lead and then watch Sidney take a dive to get a power play with under 3 and half minutes to play. For Marty Straka to be that upset it had to be even more of a BS call than it looked on TV. That's how it is against the Pens and the poster boy for the NHL.

It's been that way for the last 2 years and it ain't gonna change.

Stars took care of business tonight. Pick up a tough win on the Sharks home ice, in OT!:hyper:

GO STARS!!!

I was at the game. Stars worked their butts off for their goals. Too much standing around by the Sharks in OT, not much sense of urgency like the Stars showed. Good effort by Dallas - probably (hopefully) going to be another long series.

I'm all for a long series too, as long as my boys come out on top.:D

Good luck to the Sharks though, and I hope we see more effort from them than that OT. They looked good and tough in the second and third period. Not so much in the OT.:hmm:

I sat out on the lawn in front of the Igloo last night and watched the Pens game. Dang, that was awesome. It was great walking around downtown with Pens fans everywhere high fiving each other and chanting "Let's go Pens". Very cool indeed.

marcray...sorry you're so grouchy. There may be some truth to the comment about Sid, but that doesn't explain how you guys choked away a three goal lead in the second period.

yeah true we're giving this series away to Bettman's pet... it's a damn shame. One night our D takes a night off, then offense takes a sick day... we do love to put our backs against the wall...

Pens fans everywhere huh? Well, the weather is getting fairer...

It sure is. :) I went to a Pens game about four years ago, and people were teasing me for wasting an evening. When I tried to get a ticket to Friday's game, people laughed at me then too. No way I could afford to pay the prices I found from the few people offering them for sale.

Nice game today. Good to see Fleury with a solid game. I thought the Rangers played well, which I like to see when both teams play well and at full strength. It was a bummer to take on Ottawa with so many injuries.

But now it is off to MSG, where we did not win one game this season. I'm nervous.

The Pens won the first game fair and square, but I am pretty mad about the ref calls during the second game.

They won, and that is fine, we will hopefully take some games at MSG, but that early whistle where the puck was clearly still loose and then went in was BS. Another second later on the whistle and it would've been tied up, and then possibly gone to overtime. It was just unfortunate really.

We will see how the next two games at MSG turn out.
