The 5 CDs you can't live without

I love all the bizarre (imo, of course) choices for some of these discs...

1. NoMeansNo - "Dance of the Headless Bourgeoisie"
2. Mark Lanegan - "Whiskey for the Holy Ghost"
3. Joni Mitchell - "Hejira" (for Joni AND Jaco)
4. Isis - "Panopticon"
5. Charles Mingus - "Pithecanthropus Erectus"

That's a dern fine list there.

For me...

1. Primus - Frizzle Fry
2. King Crimson - Red
3. Metallica - Ride the Lightning
4. Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz to Come
5. The Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime

+1

I'd rather die than listening to five ABBA albums. Clear? :D
I don't know. Rutger Gunnarrson was a heck of a player. There's some good bass lines in that stuff. But, I hear what you're saying.

My picks:
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Allman Bros. - Live at Filllmore East
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme

But, who knows, in a month that might be slightly different. Only slightly, though.

Wow, so my answer has changed a lot since the last post I made in this thread.

1. Rush - Hemispheres

2. Radiohead - OK Computer

3. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Anntenas To Heaven

4. Gordian Knot - Gordian Knot

5. Matthew Good - Beautiful Midnight

That should suit me for a little while.

Well.....I had to live without them for awhile after my ex-wife burned them along with 200 other cds after she kicked me out.

The Wall - Pink Floyd
Heavy Weather - Weather Report
Machine Head - Deep Purple
Fragile - Yes
Synchronicity - The Police

1. Minutemen- Double Nickels on the Dime
2. Meat Puppets- Meat Puppets II
3. Husker Du- Zen Arcade
4. Bad brains- Black Dots
5. The Clash- London Calling

Edit: Glad other people love blood sugar sex magik. Its strange, I love that album so much but most of RHCPs other stuff is pretty generic and boring by comparison imo.
