Bill Evans at the Village Vanguard, or maybe Water Babies Miles, or maybe one of Fripp's soundscapes albums. If I could cheat like those who listed one of those "every track Miles recorded between 1963 and 1968" box sets, it would be the Fitzwilliam Quartet Shostakovich Quartets box. In fact, I might just take the Taneyev Q version of Shostakovich 13, 14, and 15. That would work. But then I'd have to miss Scott LaFaro. Darn.
