The 5-String club Part 2

Man you ain't kidding. I went into a guitar center last month and wasn't able to play the "real" stingrays because they were locked away, but the "cheap" models were all over the floor. Amazing B string and just super fun to play.
Can't really blame them. The cheap ones sell a lot more often to young kids. They figure if you're serious and a professional you'll know what to ask for and appreciate them keeping them out of the hands of idiots.
SBMM is a rare instance where you can get a quality 5-string for less than a grand.

I really like it, although the neck is a little thicker than i prefer, but that is a very minor complaint
Mine is a Ray ClassicActive with the same neck designed around the pre EB Stingray.
Slab body 2band, active pre. I've no problem with the neck since it isn't wide as my Smith or SR5. Plays more like a P or my '76 SR4. But the construction is least as good as anything coming out of San Luis at almost half the cost and has the Alnico SR tone.

Here is a nice looking 5 string with ramp and carved thumbrest. If this were a car I'd say its lines are designed for speed!

I’ve gone back to mainly being a 5 string guy. This was the first 5 string I ever had. Ibanez TR.

Had a couple musicmans around that time a bongo 5 stealth and an SR5 I sadly don’t have pictures of because the Warwicks got all the gigging time.

My longest running main player (which is why I have so many pictures) was this Warwick Thumb NT5

I went off the deep end for a while buying a 7 string, a 6 string, and a 4 string. Then I ended up getting what is now my main player. My Dingwall NG2 and I got a Fender jazz V as my backup
