Don't need a number, but wanted to share this fine gal with whom I share a birth year: 1968. Just got her for my 45th birthday. Had to strip black paint off the center panel, but the blue came back nicely.

Played her at practice tonight. What do they say--"like butter." Had one of these 25 years ago. Forgot how super sweet, smooth, and throaty the 360pp can be.

That might be a tough comparison. Amps designed for a different time are rarely going to wind up comparing favorably in anyone's eyes. Some like that sound of yesteryear, and some love the modern feel. That being said, what were you wanting comparisons on? Heads? Cabs? Quality? Features?

Im just wondering since I use two acoustic 1x15 cabs and the 600 head, which I love btw.l and am very happy with. So guess it would be more appropriate in regards to the "new" usa acoustic 360/361 that are out/ coming out. I find my ac setup limitless tone wise for way under $1000. I just wonder esp. considering the prices on the new usa acoustic if its a worthwhile investment

At an MSRP of $5,000, and the way most roadie folk handle equipment, I'm doubting I'd want to drop that kind of coin on the new 360/361 based on how abused it would get. But I would imagine it would be rather difficult to truly get an apples-to-apples comparison on a 361 compared to your B600H with 2x115s underneath it. The new 361 is a powered speaker cabinet with a single Eminence 18" and a 2" high frequency driver in a folded horn arrangement. That translates your bass dramatically differently than your pair of 15s.

The 361M has a single 15 in it though.

All that being said, however, I would imagine the 361/361m would give you a great deal of tone and variability as well, and you can run the 360 Pre to up to 4 cabinets (My God, who would NEED that much bass - I WANT IT!)

Pretty steep buy in, even if street comes to half of the MSRP. But I bet it'd be well worth every penny.

Well, I can confirm that the Acoustic USA 360/361 reissue short version sounds fantastic. My brother bought one and since he was out of town he asked me to pick up, unpack it, and check it out. He is a fan of all things Acoustic and has a number of vintage ACC amps, including an original 360/361. I think the reissue is slightly 'drier' sounding, if that makes any sense, but it's the same Acoustic tone. Is it worth $5k? That's not for me to say since I'm perfectly happy with my UK Ashdown combo, but it does sound damn good.

I believe his is maybe from the first 25 built and it has as very cool, hand-made/prototype character to it. It feels just as solidly built as the originals, too. If money were no object I'd get one in a heart beat.

Hello Everyone,

WOW! I am amazed we've had this Acoustic Club thread going for now 4 years straight! It's been so much fun to see the diverse array of players and folks who use Acoustic amps in so many situations and such.

Well folks, a time has come when I realized that I just don't have the time to devote to this wonderful club/thread that I once did, owing to a new job that I love and various other factors. In essence, I am wanting and needing to hand the reigns over to someone new.

SOOOO, I am wondering if there is anyone here in the fray that would like to take over the Acoustic Club, handing out numbers maintaining it, and all that.

Please PM me if you want to take over.

I'll still poke my beak in every so often. And thank you ALL for making this thread extra cool and extra special through 4 years and as many editions. You are thunderously cool, all of you!

I have recently became interested in Acoustic amps. Now I don't have the cash for one of the older actual Acoustic amps but the newer stuff seems to get a decent amount of praise. I have had my eye on a B200 combo at Guitar Center. I was thinking about picking it up and rocking it. Cool thing is you can pair it with an extension cab, thought about if I need it adding a B115 to it making it basically a 215 rig. I do see a lot of people with the Acoustic stuff having a 410 and 115 setup which on here is the next thing to the devil, however perhaps with Acoustic amps it sounds good. I like 10's and used them for a while, but have become more of a 15's fan over the last year.
