400 bucks is cheap for such a nice rig. The only 301 for sale in western europe is 600€, which is about 800 dollars. I've seen real coffins less expensive than that.
Purchase price is very reasonable but shipping that cab across country ?

Pretty much the same story as my '76 model 126 combo. Mine even came with the original vinyl slipcover for $149.99 from Guitar Center used online.
Forgive if you've already mentioned, but do you gig your 126? Mine got out 6-8 times last year, as one of my choices for my retro act (The Rock-its) . Typically it goes when:
1. No stairs or stage to lift onto
2. The gig setting is not subdued (some of the retro act's gigs are volume-challenged, as the average age of attendees can be up there).
When I deem the 126 too 'in-your-face', I then use a smaller 'looking' combo (Ampeg B100rocket).

At this moment, I rarely even pick up my bass, and play the blues on my G&L strat. So really I'm only buying more Acoustic stuff that I dont really need. With two small kids, thats about it. I do have a seperate garage where i will make an Acoustic sanctuary and jam. I mostly like the fact that these amps rock both on bass and guitar. Nothing tops the active Stingray in the 270 with the fuzz wide open.
Ok, just received my ntm Acoustic 320 head purchased from fellow TBer @cornfarmer. It arrived immaculately packed and cushioned in an over-sized protective carton.
The pics attest to the wonderful cosmetic condition. I hope to get it powered up and tested with its new partner, my 406 wide cab this evening.
I've been waiting patiently (mostly because I already have a very nice 120) for a 320 or 330 for several months now to complete my Acoustic family.
Ya know, if I could choose a favorite Acoustic head/cab combo... I'm thinkin' this is it.
Ohh, btw, the whole thing set me back
$225 (local pawn) for the 406 wide cab w/apparently original 1976 white dome jewels
$360 (incl shipping) for the 320 head
both in great cosmetic and apparent technical condition, for a whopping $585 total. Acoustic tonal wonder.

This size rig doesn't get out much. Only 1-2 times a year. Typically a classic rock oriented outdoor with large stage. That's when/where we'll be making a beautiful noise. Till then it's low volume getting acquainted in my 'bass corner'.
In some ways, I feel like the curator of a small classic amp museum. I intend to keep my Acoustic family protected and running well. Then eventually pass them on to the next 'generation' of Acoustic enthusiasts. Who knows how far into the future these babies can survive!
How do you think 3rd generation Acoustic compares to 2nd generation and 1st generation?
To date, I haven't owned nor tested any 1st gen Acoustic gear.
If my limited knowledge is correct, my 270, 120 & 320 heads & 126 combo are all 2nd gen? They are similar in voicing except for the 270. Apparently it's a bit different since technically it's a guitar amp.
The 320 and 126 are 3rd gen no? They have different styling for sure
