The Acoustic Club

True, but those are bright/normal channels, in Acoustic they are active/passive. So will there be volume differences?

On 140's & 270's, input #2 is padded 6dB by virtue of a higher value series resistor (22K ohms vs input #1's 10K ohms). So if you jumper out of the first channel's input #2 jack into the second channel's input #1 jack then yes you'll have to turn up the channel 2 volume control to get matched preamp drive levels, everything else being equal. But if you're going to be dialing in different tone settings then all bets are off anyway and it doesn't make much difference in the grand scheme where your two volume knobs are.

IIRC that's how I ran dual 371 stacks -- Jazz Bass to input #1 of the first 370, out of input #2 into input #1 of the second 370. Used volume controls to balance the two. Never bothered with the booster output.

And what did that do for your sound?

This is the craziest thing I've even seen browsing for Acoustic gear on second hand websites. A 408 that was turned into a cupboard. He used the grill to make doors. No more speakers, but all the rest is still there. I'm only afraid he chopped up the 4 speakers holes. Anyway, he's asking 25€, would be killer to get that. I have at least 4 working eminence speakers laying around, that would be a sweet restauration project. IF I can buy it of course :)

Damn, a 2 button footswitch for sale with reverb and master volume. Only 20€. Would do the trick for my 220s

The 220 used a 1-button footswitch terminated in a 1/4" Tip/Ring/Sleeve plug for switching the graphic EQ in and out. A 2-button footswitch terminated in a 1/4" Tip/Ring/Sleeve plug and labeled for reverb and master volume would probably have been for a 450. One of its two buttons should work to switch the 220's EQ.

It's the craziest Acoustic project Ive ever seen. Very nicely done, but I rather restore it. The holes for the center speakers are still there, only the front speaker wood is gone. Im thinking of a 2x12 on the top with 100 Hz high pass filter (my 125/127 white dome eminence speakers), and the rest 15s (my white dome Emis). Or stick with 4 15s?
