Hoping to be able to fire it up today.

My Bride has just been so sick lately. It's a chronic and serious situation that is slowly taking over her life. Hoping this is a 'good day'. Yesterday, not so much.

The amp appears to be in excellent physical condition. Like it'll clean up well cosmetically. That's usually a good sign, but I'm prepared for some imperfections tech-wise.

The most obvious wear is the light surface-rust on jacks and corners. Aluminum foil slightly wet will rub rust off the metal corners wth no damage to the surface.

The jacks might need a wire brush, but a 'detailing' will elevate its appearance to the level of my other pieces, which all look very good for their age-just like me-:smug:

Ok. It works. It really works quite well for 40-something. A little noisy if it receives a bump with the reverb engaged, but other than that it feels gig-worthy.

no sir. Meet "Ethel" - my 85 Washburn B50r. Bought it new, it's been thru Hell & back, traveled all over the country with her back in the 80s and early 90's. She's been repainted, broken in half (twice) and still bellows with the best of them. Originally red /white rising sun but I stripped the neck and top half many years ago and painted top half black , left the neck bare wood.

my last official gig playing Ethel in 1991 before I took a 20yr hiatus.

Spent a little detailing time on the recently acquired 330. I use an automotive dash cleaner:

and a plastic or vinyl scrub brush. A light and local surface moisture is all that's needed, so as not to disturb the Electronics.

Next slightly moistened aluminum foil to polish the corners and maybe a rotary tool to buff the screws and washers. It knocks off a few years of visual age.

This head seems noticeably noisier sound floor than my 320. The master volume operation is interesting and makes this amp pretty different, in some unexpected ways, from the 320.

Woah, close call. I got exited when I saw your link in French (I thought maybe its in Quebec, maybe near Montreal...), I could have two 371s side by side (cue dream scene with deeep bass)...

Well, France is too far for me as well.! Phew, I wont need to sleep on the couch!
