Ok, reading this gave me very serious GAS.

I love that M bass, and I think there's one in my future.

Ok, my first question to our TBC guitar tech:

Has your company considered a Short Scale M bass?

When you do this, I'll take the first 2. Here's my credit card number..... :hyper:

For those of you with the JT-400JJ

What kind of case do these fit well in/what do you use/reccomend?

I'm looking at pulling the trigger as soon as the active/passive switch is available :hyper:
Is it true that the bridge gives the option for top-loading or string-through-body?

No big deal here but I thought I'd mention a week ago I spotted a TBC on Jay Leno. Don't know the band; some R&B dude backed up with some pros. On the floor was a backup bass, one of those intimidating, gazillion stringed Conklins. But he was playing what appeared to be a 5 stringed M TBC bass. Actually, I can't recall if it was J &M or 2 M pickup bass, but it didn't have a pickgaurd. It really caught my eye and of course it sounded great.

Look out people, the secret may get out and these low prices my go the way of G&L!

Still the price CANNOT be beaten. So they better get those active/passive switches soon, maybe I can beat the price raise heh

Went home for lunch to put this inside (ups left it on my front porch) didn't really get to play it much as i had to get back to work. I did get to play around with it just a little. Off the top I have to say that this bass is beautiful and the workmanship outstanding. Great neck level frets, no snags and the bass although chambered just feels really solid and is very well balanced. I'll add more after I get to really sit down with it tonight.

Just pulled the trigger on a 5string single-M.
That pickguard grew on me, still prefer the JJ one but I have a jazz bass.

can't wait for it to arrive! ground shipping from CA to MA is slow though. *le sigh*

She's a beauty.

One thing I was thinking about their wooden pickguards:

I liked it from the start. But, the initial pics I saw didn't have depth, so I couldn't tell the guard protruded a bit.
I still think it looks good - and unique - but I was thinking it might look even better if they could route out the body a little more, lay the pickguard into the route, and sand flat.
Then you'd get flat two-tone wood happening. :)

Just a thought for TBC. But, still, they are beauties, and the price is right. Enjoy that bass.
