Well, I didn't have any laying around, and since I have beer on tap here, I don't go through many bottles.
The ones here I keep filled with water while waiting for a dishwasher full so no crusties form inside.
Gotta ask around! I have a bunch of friends saving for me and I can easily get a case a month.
I just recently (after I ordered my kit) put the requests out to my friends to save me their empties.
It's tough work.
If you have Rogue beer in your area, I'm a big fan of their 650ml bottles and other various big fliptop bottles. I use the Rogue bottles for band practice since my guitarist doesn't drink.

Rouge does not use the flip top Grolsch type bottles. They use a 22oz that takes regular, press-on type beer caps. They are commonly known as "Bombers". I like to use them when I plan on giving away some beer. I use Grolsch type bottles when I bottle beer for consumption at home or when I know I'll get them back.
Minus the ice bath, that looks like last weekend.![]()
What's wrong with the ice bath?? Or do you have a wort cooler?
Immersion wort cooler. Faster.
