The Bergantino Forte HP or HP2

Well I purchased a Bergantino Forte HP with Bluetooth footswitch and bag from a member here and I must say I love it. The versatility, headroom and features make the the best amp I've ever owned. That with either my fEARless F112 or Acme Low B2s makes an unbelievable combination.
I know that there's very little difference between the HP and the HP2 but I'm intrigued by owning the new one and I'm sure there will be some added options that aren't available for the HP.

Now I'm trying to decide whether to keep the HP as a backup, or place it in the classifieds. Tough decision!

Congrats. It's an amp I've been curious about. Would love your thoughts on it as it has been hard to find good info on it. I love warm, tubey supportive tones for my Americana band. I don't NEED a new amp since my current rig is awesome. But you know how that goes. I'm currently in a bit of a Bergantino love fest. Here is what I have - would the Forte fit in?

It appears you're pretty well stocked! First of all you need to know that my previous amp was an Ampeg SVT 7 Pro. I love it but it's a little heavier than most of the newer boutique amps. I played an Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 for a bit but it didn't have enough headroom for me. Then I tried the Mesa WD800 but still not enough headroom. It wasn't until I got the Bergantino that I was happy with the headroom and the tones. I've been able to get a completely clean sound and an overdrive / tube sound. The bluetooth footswitch is really nice because I can play clean and then kick-in the drive level anytime to get the overdriven tube sound. Jim Bergantino definitely knows his stuff. I have (2) Acme Low B2 cabs and a fEARless F112 so I use a various of cabs depending on the gig.
I may be selling this to get the HP2 so if you're interested, please let me know.

Interested like you on the differences between them. I would probably buy an HP2 versus HP if I bought one (but you never know) - just cause I like shiny new things.

Was just trying to figure out if it could do the tubey/warm thing. Every video I've seen is either super clean or "in your face" distorted. If you are happy with it coming from the amps you have, that says something.

I am in the same boat. I have been playing my Forte HP for about two years now. I absolutely LOVE my amp.

I've been debating about getting the HP2. Unless Jim Bergantino happens to read this and feels compelled to sponsor me with a free HP2, I'll likely stick with my HP. Since it does everything I ask of it (and so much more), it is hard for me to imagine a better head. But if I were looking for a new head, I'd definitely definitely definitely go with the HP2!

I used it last night with my fEARless F112. It was flawless and I had the drive at about 12 o'clock fir some growl and it delivered.
I'll be subbing with two other bands next month. I'll use it with an Acme Low B2 with one of those groups and with a low B2 and the F112 with the other.
This amp brings so much joy to playing.
I decided today I'm going to sell my HP and order the HP2. I know it's as good and possibly better. I'll probably have it up for sale tomorrow.

Thanks. I sure do miss my OD/BFT patch.
This is my favorite patch too. I plan on keeping my HP1 as a backup and buying an HP2 as soon as they arrive at my dealer. It is a minor concern to me that all the firmware patches are not available yet for the hp2 as this is the magic of the hp series to me. I guess the hp2 will come with the bft as standard.
