Ooh, good call! There's a track on the Time Is The Key album -- I forget which one, it's been >20 years since I've heard that record...might be "An American In England"? -- that really spun my head around the first time I heard it. Very inventive fretless playing from a guy who clearly absorbed the iconic Jaco-isms without being consumed by them.

Pretty much all of Pino Palladino's work with Paul Young, particularly I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down and Wherever I Lay My Hat. I really like "Fingertips" by Camel and a lot of The Mars Volta's more recent stuff has great fret less playing.
