The BEST Tonebender for Bass?

So I'm a fuzz addict, been thru a lot of fuzz pedals, but I've only ever played a single 'bender.
And I liked it.

What is your fave Tonebender, in any form whether it's a clone or original, and why?

I really like the versions 2 and 4 Jext Telez Dizzy tone. Sweet singing sustain, doesn't loose low end, tons of fuzz on tap. On t downside, it's big and runs on battery only.

But so worth it!

MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe or Colorsound Bass Fuzz (some of their fuzzes).

In fact, the Colorsound Bass Fuzz and The Tonebender Jumbo Fuzz ( It's exactly the same circuit ) are very, very similar to the Sovtek green Big Muff ( but the Big Muff scoop the mid more ).

Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe, Wrightsounds Fuzz-Stang MkII ( Sam Ash Fuzz-Stainer clone ), and the British Pedal Company Fuzz King MkII ( the MkII have a clean volume pots and a Fuzz Volume pots ) have a very, very good tone with bass.

The MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe is the worst fuzz pedal that I haven't never hear. The bass frequencies of the circuit Fuzz don't saturate not at all. They are just badly compressed and squeaky clean. Consequently, it fuzz tone like more than a "gently" bee-buzz (only the middle and treble "crackle" ), rather than a true real nasty Tone-Bender tone.
The BPC Fuzz-King MkII - which have the same control - is really better than the crappy MXR BFD.

'Yes' to the JT Dizzy Tone recreation ver. 4. Though I owned one only briefly, I can attest to hugeness of its sound with both guitar and bass guitar. Rawness, too. No refinement at all; just raw, distorted sound. Beauty.

By present day standards, the absence of a master volume control seems inconvenient. But that's typical of all fuzz designs of that era, I think.
