They always come out on Friday nights around here. It is early yet. This one is pretty tame.

Setting aside the practical/logistical/safety concerns of the suite of modifications necessary for this particular aesthetic (pic below for the uninitiated), I just don't understand why someone would wanna make their truck look like a dog going about its business.

I guesss the more things change...
When I was in high school, the cool cars sat tail high.

My theory is, there is a "look at me" aspect for people who aren't musical, artistic, athletic, etc.

I've known a few athletes and musicians who put effort into making their vehicles individual but nothing like the squat guys or the angley wheel guys.

Just a theory tho.

Sure. As long as it's understood that to be musical, artistic, athletic, etc., is to demonstrate the "look at me" drive in its purest form.-

I never quite understood why someone would spend years living hand to mouth for a shot at becoming famous, then they succeed; then that fame becomes a prison of its own making, then they get all butt hurt about the attention.

Coming from someone who has built dozens of hot rods & lifted trucks (and I still own several of each) I built them because I wanted to.

Assuming that's a real pic and not a poorly done Photoshop, what a waste of a classic truck.

And I'd really like to see how they managed to attach the side view mirrors to the doors, as there is little metal where the wing window is.
