I always wondered how to play the clock part of "Time"

Kudos for thinking outside of the box.Cool! When I was playing this song many moons ago I also did the clock but I more or less tapped the two clock strings at the end of the fingerboard and used my fretting hand to mute the strings. It definitely sounded more 'clacky' and less muted than this. Then I would use my thumb to hit the muted E string (sort of like muted slap) for the heartbeat sound.
It mat be easier to post a link to another location. (Youtube?) I bet it sounds great...Hmph. It's an mp3 and it won't play for me either. Maybe it has something to do with the new website format??
Guy is a legend in my bookThere's a shot of Roger Waters doing it somewhere, think I've seen it on YT. Harder than it looks to make it metronomically even, but Guy Pratt is a superb bassist.
Let me try this.
That is amazing to me. But I guess a contract is a contract. I can’t see forcing someone to be in a band but Tony is a professional through and through. Here's a sort-of-related fun fact: When David Gilmour was blooking to rebuild Pink Floyd after Roger Waters quit he asked Tony Franklin to join PF and for Tony, it was a dream gig and he already had experience playing with David Gilmour. However, Tony playing in PF was not to be. Just a few days prior to being asked to join Tony had signed a contract to be the Bassist in Blue Murder. He hired a lawyer and asked Blue Murder to release him from the contract but they refused and he was locked into that contract and he reluctantly had to turn down David's offer. That's when Blue Murder was born and they went on to be successful. Tony told this story at a clinic I attended.
I'm pretty sure that is the case. Even admin couldn't get his own test mp3 attachment to work.Hmph. It's an mp3 and it won't play for me either. Maybe it has something to do with the new website format??
Cool, a bit more Harmonics in that track? Sounds almost like 3 distinct notes but I'm on laptop speakers right now.Bonus track this is useful on. #DEEPCUT
