The Closest Jazz To A Geddy?

I had a GL Jazz - loved it...except the neck! After a long playing period, it was just a little...too thin!

I need another bass - just down to the Ric now.

I'd love another Jazz - and having loved the Ged, wondered in the myriad of Jazz's, which one in the range is closest to it, with obviously the more standard neck.

I've looked at the US standards, seem to get a good press.

One other thing - are all other maple Jazz necks 'glazed' like the Ged, or more unfinished like a maple MIM P-bass?

Opinions please!

check out the 75 Reissue jazz - either MIA or CIJ. great bass. same PU spacing, blocks on the neck, natural finish though I believe, unless you can order something different from Japan or something (Ishibashi, etc)

Also, you can sand the gloss off the back of the neck. I did it with my Geddy Lee with a very high-grit sandpaper. It made a world of difference.
