Fully agree. I use the TBird for almost everything. No BL has ever said "that bass won't fit our music", esp. after I play for them. Plus which, my shortish fingers find a P neck too wide. 'Course I could just not play the E string.
The TBird is 1.5"at the nut. My fingers will spread OK, but they won't lengthen worth a hoot. And, as seen in the avatar, the bass is slung low. Which, btw, makes it a bear to play sitting-which I don't.Yet fingers long enough to play a bass with a neck longer than the Florida Panhandle
Yeah, the 'skinniness' of the TBird neck is why many of them break there at the slightest whack. Mine cracked, which got worse and eventually separated^ did not know this
. It was reattached with a coupla graphite rods inserted. The luthier said it might break again but not there.
Loll..yep Morri same here...got heaps of different sized tools from StewMac over the years to be a darn shareholder lolll As you say...a good boy scout and girl guide should always be prepared.People who need both Imperial and Metric tools to do one job is a pretty sweet deal for toolmakers.
And yet in my gig bag is an EBMM toolkit with Imperial and Metric, plus a stringwinder and a pliers and a tape measure I added. Just because Murphy's Law (and Murphy was an optimist).
The reason I take my Squier as backup is that I was playing the tapes equipped AGB 200 on a concert band gig. One of the clarinetists knocked a music stand into the bass. Didn't harm the bass, but cut the nylon(?)tape on the G string to where the bass was unplayable-no matter where I fingered the string, it said 'thud'. No pitch, just thud. I take the Squier and(usually)leave it in the van[buried]. If something should happen to whatever bass I'm playing, I can get the backup in 5 minutes or less. Less time than it would take to change a string, assuming I had extras of 3 different types and 2 different lengths with me.

Since a quarter of an inch is slightly less than six and a half millimeters, I'd expect the imperial input/output to be the tight one.
Sorry instrumentalist my friend..My mistake..I meant to type 1/4" on that last line not 1/8" but wouldnt the larger plug be the metric then if the 1/4" imperial is smaller than a 6.5mm metric loll?
I took "plug" to mean the female end of the equation. My bad.
