The Cort came back . . .

This is a blast from the past. Although I used my EB-3 for many years after I got it in 1972, in 1983 or so I bought this Cort bass, a copy of a Steinberger headless bass. Well, it was the 80s, after all. Anyhow, after I "retired" 11 years later, I gave it to my son. And now it is a decade and a half later, and it's come back to me, for "refurbishing" and safe keeping. It took lots of abuse over the years, and I'm not sure how much of the abuse was mine and how much was his. The case is now painted a flourescent green; I had to seriously adjust the neck, replace the bridge PU pot, and get matching knobs. The finish -- meh . . .

Here it is next to my refinished "mini-rig-of doom":

I still have a grounding issue with it. The single coil pickups buzz when all wide open, but the buzz goes away completely when I grasp the strings, touch the bridge, etc. Any suggestions?
