Aww man. that really sucks.

What kind of stand was it on? Can't imagine what the happened in 6 months to do that?

There's C5 neck for sale on ebay but the price is too much, and it isn't from a plus so might not fit.

These guys on Ebay can custom make a neck for not too much, maybe contact them and see if you can nut out the specifications?

There's a thread on here with a fix, but the effort involved, worth it for a vintage Fender, but not likely for a current Cort.

If it were mine, and I couldn't find another neck, I'd pull the frets and reshape it into a fretless hahaha.

That one. Im so upset...
I have dealt with twisting and successfully fixed it, but thaw was a 25" guitar. All my tools are useless here :(
Luthiers counts like a half of bads price to fix it.

Fixed!
FIngerboard was removed by saw in case of possible cracking due grain.
Neck body was trimed to be straight.
2 carbon rods was installed.
Additional layer of wood was glued to fingerboat cause it was cut of the neck and lost some height.
Glued together.
Scale moved a little bit, i have no space now to move saddle on the bridge for G, another strings is OK. Mb i'll move bridge for 5mm to the neck. Its about -5c at 12 fret now, not a big deal for me (im newbie) :)
YEap, was fixed by luthier.
Such a great guy. Hope i'll order one of his carbon basses someday

I picked this up recently for a decent price and am really liking it. Cort GB74 JH In Trans Red. Needed a good setup but now plays really nice. The fretboard even has a slight flame to it. Great hardware. It does weight 10lbs though, so now its my heaviest bass but it balances well and doesn't feel heavy on the strap.

I have a EBS Onboard preamp sitting in my box of spares, and i wouldn't mind trying it out in this bass.

These can benefit from a preamp update.
The pickups are decent.
I went another route with mine:
Passive.
I know yours is a 4: but both models of pickup are available in a 4 string variant.

AGUILAR DCB-M5 bridge

Seymour 5 String Stack neck​

volume volume tone rotary switch 4 way:
Neck, both, bridge, series (with cap LPF on neck pickup in series mode aka G&L OMG)

And: the Hipshot Kickss saddles with the adjustable saddles are a step up from the slotted Omni.

Enjoy, great bass.

Sounds like some nice mod's to your bass. I think the first thing will be the Pre-amp and see how it sounds.

This is the preamp which i'm thinking about. 4 pot EBS preamp. I was going to get a stacked pot for the Treble and Bass, and put the mid switch on the VOL pot as a push pull. I'd like to avoid drilling holes if possible. Then incorparing a rotary selector for series/parallel.

Regarding the bridge, mine appears to have slots on the saddles for string spacing. I do know some bridges had to have the slots cut into the saddles. Doesn't appear to be the case on mine

Sounds like a solid game plan.

The kickass saddles are adjustable side to side like the ones on a Warwick.
The brass seats slide and are held in place by a grub screw.

The cast in slots in the Omega and the BA 3 work but when not using the “straight line” cast-in groove: aggressive players find that the string wants to jump out and move back to “straight line “.

Drop in replacement for the baseplates of the Omega, and other Leo Quan Badass and clones (like fender / klusen)

A wider string spacing at the bridge was desired on my 5 string and these were the ticket

A question for those who have a Space 5 bass.

How much room is there for routing in new bigger pickups ?

The battery compartment is located in between the pickups so fitting a Music man humbucker in the bridge position is probably impossible, but maybe doable in the neck position.

A 5mm wider pickup could be fitted in the bridge position, right ?

I’ve never weighed it but if I had to guess I’d say that it’s in the 9 pound vicinity. I don’t find it to be more uncomfortable than my other basses. It balances fine for me but in my opinion a lot of that has to do with each individual’s body. Overall I’m very pleased with with mine but I wish that it had a passive tone control…
