I'm with Gress on this one. Booze and weed cure all. Then when you are curled in the fetal position on the floor of your flat, your manager's daughter will come to collect the $50 you owe him, but instead she will take a shine to you.....oh, wait, that Ozzie's story. :hmm:

That's asinine. Quality always trumps quantity. Always. Except for shallow-minded douchebags who do all their "thinking" with that *other* head...

Wrong...

Wrong...

Wrong...

Jeez, are all you guys a bunch of vindictive, emotionally-stunted little dweebs? The correct answer is: 'A real man steps up, rises above it, elevates his game.'

If you want a real woman in your life, one who is a genuine lady and a class act, then you first show some class and dignity and maturity. In other words, be a real man - not the kind of mean-spirited, manipulative little schemer you're suggesting that the OP become... :rollno:

Good night! :eyebrow:

Wooooord up. Buncha psychos in this thread! Dan Savage has said this a few times and I think it's true: your exes are your dating resume. If there's nothing in your past but scorched earth and burned bridges and girls that hate you, that speaks poorly of you. If on the other hand a prospective girlfriend sees that you have kept civil (if not close) relationships with your exes, she will know that you are not abusive or childish and that if her relationship with you doesn't work out, you won't turn into some huge drama queen.

That said, sure, have a few drinks, try to hook up with someone, spend a week in your room listening to Elliott Smith. Just don't be a jerk about it.

Anybody have any suggestions to heal a broken heart?
When I was about your age, I had a similar heartache and was crushed, blah, blah.

I was driving around thinking about it, and the thought struck me, "Are you ever going to get over this?" I figured I was, eventually. Then I thought, "well, why don't you get over it NOW and save yourself a lot of trouble." Somehow, the logic worked, and I was instantly over her.

This is what I know about life: It just gets worse and more painful, but you lose the ability to feel as you get older. This constitutes maturity. Unless you're very lucky, your life will eventually become more horrible than you can even imagine now. You'll look back on the things that are important to you today with a profound sense of self-disgust at the worries -- and useless people -- on which you wasted your youth.
