This works by using a lever and fulcrum basis.Your bass is the lever.Your neck and shoulders together are the fulcrum.You can either decrease weight on one end of the "Lever"(the neck) to raise the neck.Or you could increase the weight or"counterbalance"or anchor the other end.The belt "dead ends"or anchors the lever without adding weight.Get It?
No pics, no belt around your thigh stabilizing neck dive. I think you're just trying to make a bunch of us look dumb on stage as part of an elaborate prank.
A thin belt between the bass and your thigh won't make you look anything.Only your stage appearance and playing will make yourself look "dumb"(Rock and Roll faces and stage antics)As of this moment I don't own a digital camera,or Smartphone and I don't know how to upload pics of ANYTHING.My description should be enough for any one to figure it out.I'm not in the habit of scripting pranks.You want jokes.Look at SOME of the other comments!There's no reason to doubt this!
O.K.The GB707G's I ordered weren't Resolite.And they don't have them in gold.Which is what I want.GB350's are Resolite.And they are in black only.The ones I istakenly ordered weren't Resolite.Now I have to return them as they are heavier than the ones on my bass.When Ebay says Things "LIKE" Resolite tuners watch out!!I will try Hipshot Ultralites next.They do have gold tuners.

I recently sold my ESP LTD B1006 and those Gotoh GB707G's and I bought a second Tune TWB63 fretted bass.Later I bought a set of Hipshot Ultralite 20650G tuners.These ARE much lighter than the original tuners.And although they lessen the neck dive situation a great deal,I will continue to use my Anchor belt because it FIXES the bass neck at a higher angle.Pictures of the belt are next as I have a new computer with a webcam as you see here.

I have a home made Explorer bass that I have not been able to get to hang comfortably since it was built. Have tried different straps and tuners etc but could not get the bass to hang right. Came across a link somewhere for "The Bass Balancer". Works on the idea of extending the strap attachment point further down the neck from the body, like some of the home made solutions I have seen here on TB.

Contacted the manufacturer and was told that it's a new venture and he has been making them specifically for P and jazz basses for a little while but there is not a model for the Explorer. So Kevin at Bass Balancer offered to custom make one for me, since they are hand made at this time. I sent him a few pictures and a few weeks later the balancer arrived at my door.
With the installation of the balancer and the relocation of the strap lock on the other side of the bass, my Explorer now hangs comfortably with no neck dive.
I can not recommend this product highly enough. Looks professional, was super simple to install and it works very well.
(BTW...the big ugly bolt holding on the strap lock has been replaced with a proper sized bolt...it was just what I had on hand at the time)

Haters gonna hate. Thanks for sharing your simple, effective, cheap fix.
Your solution is applied from the upper horn forward(or the place where the upper horn would be)Mine is from the bottom of the bass.If the upper horn on my bass extended to the twelfth fret instead of the fourteenth,there would be little or no dive.If yours had a long upper horn it might balance.(An Explorer style.I know)The belt I use anchors the opposite end.We get the same results!
