Lots of people die every year doing that, too.
But that extra 1000 meters is the whole allure of Everest, it's not the best, hardest, most beautiful only the tallest.
My difficulties walking aside, I've been skydiving and I don't think I'd try this even if I had the physical ability.

It's actually a bit more than 1000 feet.
The death rates are also a lot lower than what your previous post stated.

I totally get that part. But from what I've read, it's a 40-60 day expedition and folks generally get 30 minutes or less at the summit before they have to turn around and get out of the death zone/get to camp before darkness.
so, good place to hide a body.
