I use the Boss RE-202 Space Echo all the time for sound-on-sound looping. It has a long delay mode of up to 6 seconds so you can get some nice soundscapes going. Here’s just one video I’ve done:

The original big box EHX Small Stone phaser, or the quite amazing, and dirt cheap, clone of it that Behringer makes, the VP1 Vintage Phaser (better than EHX's own Nano reissue).

Best 4 stage phaser ever made, I'd even go as far as to say best phaser ever made period.

Non more lush but awesomely organic sounding.

I second the Pigtronix Envelope Phaser. The Subdecay Quasar DLX had also got a nice pulsing vibe to it.
I use a locally made take on the EqD Depths, the Krozz Krakenheart. Very nice Uni-vibe sounds, got low end for days.
Would the Boss Ph-1R qualify? It's my favourite phaser, but I think the pass-filtering is more prominent than the throbbing, pulsing, etc.

I never could marry with the PH-1R. It sounds bad (to my ears). I would never use it.

That's something I would approach using midiguitar 2 and some VST's. This is more about analog filters. Products – Jam Origin

I never could marry with the PH-1R. It sounds bad (to my ears). I would never use it.

It's really got its type of sound. Works for some uses, not so much for others. I really enjoy what it does, and I think it's quite unique at that.
