The Les Paul may qualify... Epiphone still makes a Les Paul bass but it's almost a completely different animal. I'm pretty sure the EB3 5 string fits the bill as a discontinued bass though.

Here's one you don't see every day.
Hayman 40/40. Made in England in the early '70s. Sounds good, pretty lightweight, cool features. Note the lucite in the bridge and the zero fret.

Very cool bass! I love the 8-track cassette-like control panel! The guitars had a similar design w/replaceable modules. Jim Burns was involved after selling Burns to Baldwin, hense the Burns-esk headstock. It's possible the open cavity made custom placement of the pu's possible (?)

I think they are great basses. Unfortunately, fiscal concerns are going to necessitate me selling mine.

Zeta Prism Bass I had one when they first came out. It had a pizeo bridge pickup only and I used round wounds on it so it just "wasn't right somehow" for the country band I was in at the time.

Post pictures of your discontinued basses.

Rules:

1) Must have at one point been a factory model that was mass produced (no customs- we already have tons of threads for those).

2) The model must not be in production right now. Doesn't count if they have moved factories/countries/changed colors but are still making the bass.

3) No trying to bend the rules with the year of your bass. Yeah we know they aren't making your '68 Precision anymore- but they are still making Precisions.

Just recently discontinued within a week or two ago.
