The DIY Tube Head Thread

I'm finding it a little hard to read ATM. I'll sketch it out a little differently. I have found in general, that cascodes, while working well for RF frequencies, don't "sound" as good as other topologies for audio. It's something akin to Broskie's Aikido (which I have built and liked).

My suggestion would be to breadboard it and take a listen.

The DB455 is done!! :hyper:

But I can only get 300W out of it. The HVPT isn't delivering the needed current with sustaining the voltage. Therefore I might replace it. But the thing is bloody loud as it is. With gain and volume at half, the walls and floor shake incredibly as does my head. A bit painful. :bassist:
 
That amp needs a 4x15. :bassist:

With all that power, more like two, akin to Om.
