The earth is flat?

It appeared sooner in the thread already but yeah it's good.
When chatting with flatists, they happen to block over bits of science that seem impossible to them, yet are relatively common.
If they knew the wonders of physics, math and design at work in technologies like cellphones, tablets, GPS or even some considered obsolete like analogic air tv signal, their head would explode.
Now there are natural phenomenons so mindblowing that making water stick to a ball of rocks seems mundane in comparison. Storms the size of a galaxy, planets hosted around black holes, waves of spacetime fabric...
Even the fusion at work inside stars including the sun to provide us with heat is considered impossible strictly using Plank and Einstein's laws. And yet it works.
It took quantum physics to understand how atoms could get close enough with sufficient force to fusion.
