The Electro-Harmonix Club. Part deuce.

Since I got my POG, I found myself less and less using the Distortions (Dawg, MD-2, ODB-3, Wilde OD).

I figured out that many times when I was using distortion, I was really needing the POG. I was using the distortion for the purpose of generating harmonics; to make the upper-midrange and lower-treble portions of the spectrum more 'dense'. I didn't really use them for the purpose of sustain, as I (almost) always have tons of squish compression (CS-3).

Well the POG certainly makes the harmonics more dense!

So this morning I reassembled my Boss Board (the six-place Boss one; I forget the name) with no distortions. Now it goes (R to L): NS-2 > CS-3 > POG > PQ-4 > CEB-3. The RE-20 always goes seperate on the floor. And, of course, the NS-2 isn't really 'at the beginning' like that (except for the actual dry bass input) - other pedals on the board are IN THE LOOP of the NS-2.

I'm certainly not giving-up distortion, though! But I'm doing a little solo gig tonight, and I'm goin' for it - sans distortion!

KarateKid you get a number anyways! You don't have to put it in your sig though I just put you in for the sake of simplicity.

Oh and 4StringsEnough, your 99. Someone who posted just before you was already a member.

Another side note, we now have over 100 members!

I didn't even know I was a member of this club. Well I guess I'll fill you guys in on my current EHX stash

I swear I thought I had more EHX. They need to make a tuner and a wah, so my entire board can go EHX.

#107 sounds good to me.

By the way, today i´ve noticed a strange choking noise when the distortion switch on my BassBalls was on, it only went away when i attacked the strings harder. Does the BassBalls require playing through it like you´ve got a good pair?

Sorry...another question: At my local store there are a Big Muff a micro Big Muff and a Metal Muff, which one of those would suit the bass better and not suck too much tone?

Thanks in advance...this pedal thingies are kind of addictive.
