:p OK.

:hiding:

$200

It's in perfect shape save a few pick minor scratches. Came in a fitted Epiphone hard case, and the guy gave me a strap and cable too. He said it's only 4 mos old and it does look basically brand new. Still had factory strings on it (but doesn't anymore).

D
haha, just when I thought you were gonna say you got it for a case of beer :(

but good score anyway WITH a case for 2 bills.

What would happen if I took out pickups in a Thunderbird and added either 2 J pickups or 1 P and 1 J pickup? Would it sound like a Jazz or a P/J bass, or would it sound like a hideous monster? (after obviously adding wood filler) I like those sounds, but can't move away from the Thunderbird shape.

monster sound? OH YA!! but only hideous when divebombing the Kahler....lol

What does it sound like though? Like a P/J (Fender?) bass? or like somrthing else?
like many will tell you as probably more of the "something else". I have a bird with 2 EMG 35's also and it don't sound like this one, which sounds different than my 3rd bird.

as far as me modding my EPI for a P/J setup...eh, if I had the time I would try it on mine since the EPi's is cheap and not a concern if I mod it, cause if I didn't like it, I would proabably sell the neck and hardware, and throw the body in the garbage.

Finally got round to taking some pictures of my Tbird (:

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm

Even though I love my 3 Birds, the mundane ho-hum bird they have on the guard is old and worn out...

did you ever wonder why the bird looks to the left?

tbirdlogos.jpg

because Gibson ripped it off of FORD who started it in the 50's!!!!

this one is more "modern" ... :):) and correct to the "mythical" t-bird American Indian pics that always show the bird looking to the right

But here is the question... why are they supposed to look to the right? Is there a "mythical" purpose or does the Thunderbird just like to show off its "good side"? :D

crappy picture of my bird, can I have a number please?

The bird's got a problem btw, the bridge pickup cover is busted, and I've contacted gibson Europe (since I live in Belgium) and different local gibson dealers, and nobody seems to be able to provide me with a spare. Any idea's on how to get a new pickup cover?
