I agree, they just don't have "that" flow to me.
I've done a few re-fins and they arn't fun, one was a J bass [green] and the other was a double bass [not fun
] which is now redish.
I know of a bike chop shop that'd do it though.
I played a Razorback bass...ONCE... I wish I could get a long scale one some day. I wonder if Ibanez makes custom basses nowadays?
Have you played one? they are medium scale not short so there isn't as much of a diff. Also the neck pocket is about the same as a long scale so you could just put on a new neck and move the bridge a bit if it "must" be 34.

I just started to design my new explorer. Not easy to make it different but still an explorer! The destroyers are a nice version!!!

Many explorers like the beautiful Arias are a litte to small in my opinion.
