Oh, my Explorer will be under the knife soon, gonna be a machine!

I have, on order,
Hipshot Ultralights,
Hipshot A Bridge in brass,
Three String Retainer,
push/pull pots,
On/On switches,
chrome mounting rings,
Rio Grande Pitbull pickup,

This is how it will be wired,

And I may reshape the headstock, to a tele bass shape, and paint it matching black.

Sweet! That's gonna be really cool. The 3 string retainer will be a good touch.

Hahaha just doin' my part. The Destroyer is such a funky bass. It has really neat form with flair.

No not really, it just looks that way because I did it for the picture, the bass is sitting in my test/experiment board thats all...

Pile a couple more pedals on there and you can bury that bass.

For sure, and I forgot, I ordered a nickle nut, seeing as its like fret material, should give a good twang, and in case it fails, I put a brass one on order too.

EDIT: Oh, and abalone dots to replace the ugly grey plastic ones it has.

Thanks, you have to remember that I've been at this for over 17 years, and all my spare $$$ has always gone into gear and other tools do do my music/art vs tvs, sofas, nice threads and whatnot.

Yeah I guess the housings are too different. The pickup on that bass just looks so Danelectro-y...

Here I am with my Epiphone Explorer bass. I am currently in the process of stripping the paint off. So far, the plan is to stain it dark brown and replace the hardware and electronics with nice stuff. It has a Hipshot D-turner that will stay on it.
