ok, one final question...and i likewise apologize if already asked...

about the "Blend" knob on the overdrive...what is the meaning of 1 and what is the meaning of 10?

does 1 mean that no clean at all is blended in with the dirty?...does 10 mean that they are 50/50?

i just want to know so i know what i am hearing.

Yep, & that's sorta how I use a "3rd channel" blend control at 1 (off) = no drive, then gradually increases drive blended with the clean signal as you turn blend up to 10 (full on)
For me, I set the "drive" channel with blend at 1 (off) to a cool tone, & set vintage channel up same volume-but a li'l different tonally. So, footswitch between the 2 is quick & easy. Then I just roll that blend control up to 3, 6 etc depending on how much filth is needed :)
Works a treat for me.
& yeah, I got the SB300 coz I knew 300 tube watts is just sweet! I can use one small (ish) cab & push the amp, or use a bigger/more cabs for power/headroom to burn.
Even the 200w tube amp I've got can run outta clean for me.

Rod, what do you use as your small cab? Sounds like it can handle some serious power if you're able to push the head through it!

My SB300 is still on order from January but is now shipped so should arrive in NZ next month. Yay! Delays due to high demand worldwide unsurprisingly.

I have an NV610 that'll do for bigger gigs but I'm thinking the new NV115 will be perfect as a more compact option. I presume the NV115 cab still works when oriented on its side lol

Two Berg AE112's Are what I've used at 3 gigs with it so far. I've also used my 3015 loaded Ampeg PF115HE-1x15".
But using the 2 AE112's I can sort of "push" the amp. I dunno whether it's pre amp drive or coming from the power tubes, but we weren't that loud, standard sized pub gig, vintage channel vol about 6, master about 5. It was getting nice & crunchy if I dug in & clean if I played lightly.
They're 300w 1x12"s each- I know that don't mean much, but the two of em will allow not a huge volume-which is what I wanted on those gigs.
It sounds fantastic into the modded PF115HE too, but with the 3015 drivers in, they go pretty loud & handle a good amount of power.
Another great aspect- 8/4/2 ohms select switch:thumbup:

I have used the SB with a Berg HT/EX122 mini-stack (coupla weeks ago) and a Fender Neo 610 this past Saturday at the same club. I def prefer the NEO610 in that room. The cab matches the amp perfectly, and add a boat lod of weight, depth and heft to the sound. As opposed to the Berg stack which sounds like ... well .. a Berg stack :-)

I am looking to get a new amp and I have a Peavey Combo 115 that I'm using now. We play mostly small gigs 50-100 people and play mostly old school country. I've been using Fender American Standard P bass as well as a Fender 51 reissue P Bass CIJ. I just bought a Earnie Ball Music Man Stingray Classic 4. The MM bass is active so keeping that in mind would the Fender Super Bassman 300 work well with the active bass? Also I am wanting the FSB 300 with the Neo610 but I am also concidering the 100T with the Neo410 just because we haven't so far had to have that much power. My take is it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. What do you all think?

The Oxblood Neo 610 was on back order from Fender for 9 weeks!!! I was getting to the point of desperation. I never got a good explanation as to why it took so long to manufacture, but I suspect it may have something to do with the custom speakers.

I mean, what else could it have been? It not like there's a shortage of blond tolex or Oxblood grill cloth, eh?

But it was well worth the wait in the end. I couldn't be happier with the rig, despite the fact that I swore off big iron 15 years ago. The rig-schelp is much easier than I anticipated.
