Would you happen to have any pictures of your SB tortoise? I have been thinking of getting a tortoise PG for mine but I have never seen one mounted - I don't think they ever came with them so I think they have to be ordered as a replacement from Jeannie Pickguards, which is the only place I have seen them. Thanks.great undervalued bass. can't say that about many things can you? i have 2 - SB with tortoise (bought from Favio) with flats and black on black with rounds. one of these days i might think about changing out the pups, especially the noisey bridge pup. even the circuit is nice sounding. wish i could wire it passive/active. both have great straight necks, thin and extra few frets, "dinky" bodies. a win win all the way around.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Maybe I could keep my number in hopes that I'll be back in someday? You know, "Once a cowpoker, always a cowpoker".![]()
Good afternoon,
would love to get my number.
I purchased my Tobacco Sunburst in '95.
Lent it out to a friend who managed to loose a top knob within 9 hours.
Last year I made a Ding in his Dingwall. Fate.

I had to sell mine due to layofff. Do I still get to be in the club - or am I out.![]()

It took months but the tuners arrived today so now the mod is all done. Only the neck body and pickguard/control cavity guard, are original.

Sweet! I've always thought black bridge and tuners would look great on a red 'poke. Way more character than the original hardware scheme. Are those Duncan Quarter Pounders?
