The Few, the Proud, the Cowpokes. (official Fender Cowpoke club)

great undervalued bass. can't say that about many things can you? i have 2 - SB with tortoise (bought from Favio) with flats and black on black with rounds. one of these days i might think about changing out the pups, especially the noisey bridge pup. even the circuit is nice sounding. wish i could wire it passive/active. both have great straight necks, thin and extra few frets, "dinky" bodies. a win win all the way around.
Would you happen to have any pictures of your SB tortoise? I have been thinking of getting a tortoise PG for mine but I have never seen one mounted - I don't think they ever came with them so I think they have to be ordered as a replacement from Jeannie Pickguards, which is the only place I have seen them. Thanks.

Sweet! I've always thought black bridge and tuners would look great on a red 'poke. Way more character than the original hardware scheme. Are those Duncan Quarter Pounders?

That's what I did with mine back on page 11 of this thread except I have the Ivory Cowpoke. Looks great with the black hardware. I threw Nordstrand pups and an Audere preamp into mine though and it kicks ass.:hyper:
