This is the first Lakland 4 string of any kind(this is a 4-94 Deluxe)to leave the factory equipped with Lakland pickups & pre and it's mine.

I played a prototype 55-94 in feb with Lakland electronics and really dug them so I placed an order plus I'm an endorser.

No no no,it's not the first 4 string Lakland but it is the first 4 string Lakland factory equipped with Laklands own pickups & pre.

The Bass sounds great and it's very very versatile,you barely turn a knob and you'll notice a change in tone.If you want to go from killer slap to the growliest finger playing in seconds this Bass delivers.I had the fb covered with a high gloss clear finish and that makes it even more snappier.

Very cool... I've played a few Laks (The Skylines, haven't played a USA but the Mesa store I played the Skylines has USA ones too) but only ever with the Bart Pups + Pre (Except the Fender-esque ones) I'm interested in trying out the Lak pups & pre.

Do they come only on the USA's, or will the Skylines have them too? Is there any sort of difference in price, or is it all the same?

The Lakland eletronics are offered in a couple of the Skylines,the 44-02 and the 55-02 and as far as difference in price I have no clue.
