Feel and playability are great. I really wish it had a dedicated mid range adjustment on it though.

Understandable. Every bass I've had has been bass and treble only, so I don't think that'd be an issue for me. Thanks for your thoughts on it- now to start poking around and see if there isn't one near me I could test drive...

Nice way to start the thread, all!

Regarding the GWB - it's pretty trivial to drill another hole and swap the preamp out for a 3 band. It's not like you'll "ruin the collectors' value". And at that price, with those ergonomics (assuming you like narrow string spacing), you've got a major winner.
