The Fretless Club (Part IV)

Haven't been here for a while (graduated and workaholism took all the time) but got my bass and started playing and remembered talkbass again:). And when I came back I found this thread (have the clubmember number nine). Have to start reading (and playing of course) regularly again. What an awesome forum this is:cool:.

And here is the proof for the club, will have to get better pictures soon from both of my basses:

Welcome home! :)

So I am new to the fretless world and I am absolutely in love with the mwahh. This is my new baby, Suzy Creamcheese. She's a 98 Modulus VJ4 fretless with a John East preamp. Can I get a number please?

Have any of you own a defretted neck, with block inlays? I'm curious to how that would look. I can't help but think it would look funky.. in a not so good way.

And this bass you have here.. the fingerboard inlays are pretty darn awesome. How does it play? I would be very tempted to want to string it EADGC.. or maybe DGCFA#
Just picked up my 2nd fretless. Here is proof.

Can I please get a number to be in "The Fretless Club"??

Here is a pic of my Mike Dirnt Squier P Bass that was converted to a fretless...it is currently seeking a new pickup. Good weight. Great neck (now that the so-so fret job has been eliminated), and super light strings.

Hopefully, this fretless can hold me over until I can find a mid nineties fretless jazz to match my fretted jazz.

Could I please have a club number?
