Tonehammer with eq set flat is totally flat, zero color. With ags on and gain low, it’s like a lpf with slight fattening to the tone. It doesn’t really have a tone/ voicing until you dial it in imho.

Not to be argumentative, but that was not my experience.
I enjoy the Edison. I didn't think it was radically voiced. It played nice with all my basses. However, I just picked up a short scale (Mustang PJ). I do notice that the Edison rolls off and/or compresses some of the deep lows the P pickup puts out. It's the first bass I've noticed it with. To be fair, the frequencies are so low that I'd normally EQ or filter them out anyway.
There's an interesting new pre they are offering with the Edison section, along with a boost and effect loop. The UFO.

For those who chose the Shiftline Olympic mklll over the Noble, what Were the deciding factors for you?

I would agree. The TH definitely colors your sound, even flat. It happens to be a sound that I love. I'd say the TH pedal is more subtle than the TH head though.
I don't have a short scale on hand, but with my three basses the low end seems to be increased. It does change the mids and the highs slightly as well, but I'm really enjoying it a lot. I have another tube on the way to get a bit of a darker sound as well. Tube rolling should change the sound in the Edison.
I had a Noble....and I was in love. Awesome.
Then I got a chance to put it head to head with the Shaw Tube Injection. The Shaw was just as good as the Noble tonewise, but had some extra features the Noble didn't have, particularly a better EQ.
Then I tried the SLO. And while it wasn't quite as good as the Shaw when listening to it through very accurate mixing headphones and only my bass without any other instruments...it was indistinguishable in a mix. The SLO cost less, has more features, runs off of my Cioks power supply, and takes up less space on my board...so it was a no brainer. I sold the Shaw, put money in my pocket, and put the SLO on my board.
Anxious to hear your thoughts on this as I’ve looked at one of those several times in the past but never purchased.
Ooooh! Anxious to hear about how this one sounds. The website says it's good for guitar and pedal steel too...so wonder what the EQ points are.

Question on the Suncoast. How do you know what channel you have selected? Does the "SELECT" LED change colors?
