Don was incredibly friendly, professional, and communicative through out the whole process. We had a pretty thorough discussion on exactly how I wanted the finished cab to look, and he did not disappoint.

+1. Don does great work and is a true professional in every way. I have three cabs from Don and I feel that there's a fourth at some point in the future.

What did the weight come in at? I am guessing 65-67 lbs with the tinted Duratex type finish? Basically half the weight of most 215's.

If it sounds anything like John K's rig running the SVT 7 Pro and his homemade 215, you may have just found tone heaven.

I don't think Don gave me a final weigh in weight, but with the Arauco he used it should be around 60 lbs or so.

I didn't weigh this one but I've built a few Duallys now with the same hardware options that come out to low 60s in weight.

Yes, I am pretty sure the LFs need mid drivers and a crossover. You can tell by looking at the drivers because the nonLFs have ripples on the surface.

bought one recently and replaced an old jbl e145 while it gets reconed. The 3015 sounds nice and weighs nothing compared to the JBL but does sound the same... those old magnets just sound sound so much more alive...

Yes, I am pretty sure the LFs need mid drivers and a crossover. You can tell by looking at the drivers because the nonLFs have ripples on the surface.

BASSIST is correct, these are the normal Kappa 3015s and not the LFs. The Dually design does not use the LF drivers as it doesn't have a mid driver, crossover, etc.

One of my favorite bass solos of all time. Too bad this was the 90s and no one pushed up the bass fader when it was solo time!

Sweet looking cab! I love the idea of matching the case to it but I personally think you should switch the heads corners to plastic or the cabs to chromed so they match!

Ya, the rack case comes with chrome hardware from Carvin. For about $2 in parts it can be changed over to chevrons if desired.
