A haikuless aside - after over twenty years teaching in schools and university (and a decent spell in industry first), that actually sums me up pretty well. I just can't help it. :D

I remember reading for the first time this dedication that begins Stephen Jay Gould's superbly written book "Wonderful Life". It brought a lump to my throat then, and still does.

It's only natural. I think if a teacher is worth their salt they will ALWAYS teach. It's safe to say teachers don't go into it for the money, sad but true. Your always being "on" is one of the reasons I appreciate your posts. Even if I jibe or run the devils advocate route to squeeze a bit more from the "lucky" few :D
