As far as a brand I like the Arctic Zero as being diabetic it is insulin pump friendly. Also good for diabetics is Halo Top: Save The Bowl and the So Delicious No Sugar Added.

Actually, I think Halo Top was the brand that I was recommended before I found the arctic zero. Flavor-wise, which do you prefer? I might have to track the Halo Top down to check it out.

Fall is here and my local creamery will be making pumpkin ice cream again. My favorite. It is the creamiest ice cream I know of. Maybe the pumpkin makes it creamier. drool

Nice. There's a limit to how creamy I want it though. That depends a lot on what flavor it is. Pumpkin should be pretty over the top IMHO.

Before Ben And Jerry's there was another iconic Vermont institution, the Dairy Bar at UVM. Students ran it, and they used milk from the agriculture school. Their whole thing was ultra low butterfat, and you could polish off a pint in one sitting without a hint of bloating or remorse. Their maple walnut ice cream was particularly sublime. Ben and Jerry used the space as a test kitchen for a while after the Dairy Bar closed, and their first place in downtown Burlington shared a good bit of the same vibe too. Not sure if they ever actually used the cement mixer out front for production, but it was a great look sitting in front of a beat up old gas station.

Out of your list I had to go Rocky Road, but if Ben & Jerry's 'Chubby Hubby' was on there ... would have picked that drool

I usually like to keep a few different flavors in my freezer at all times ... one of the chocolate variety (like Rocky Road), a berry-ish one (like raspberry sherbet), + one other bastardization of flavors like white chocolate raspberry with chocolate chips.

Those coney 'Drumstick's in a tub has been a fave this past week ... I'm on my second container

It depends on the flavor but the Halo Top is a little creamier while the Arctic Zero has more good flavors and the So Delicious No Sugar has the best taste of the three but also more carbs.

One of my fondest road trip memories was when I drove hundreds of miles from Pennsylvania to Vermont to tour the Ben and Jerry's plant in the late 1980's! They gave out samples of some new flavors they were working on at the end of the tour, as well as their most popular flavors at the time drooldrooldrool

I think commercial ice cream is something like 80% air. Must be okay for a diet, yeah, yeah that's the ticket.

Eat it with your eyes closed and it doesn't count anyway.

I was going to try the Ben & Jerry's Non Dairy but the carb count is so high it's out of the question.

All at 31g per 1/2 cup except the Brownie that's 23g. Maybe try that one sometime, but the others can't do.

i can't have sugar, but luckily there's dryer's slow churned no sugar added fudge tracks. and it's actually quite yummy!

I'm lactose intolerant now. Ice Cream hits me harder that a broccoli and pinto bean burrito . . . no bueno!

Blue Bell's Camo and Cream. It is pistachio and almond, milk chocolate, and cream cheese ice cream in one carton. There are only two servings in the half gallon carton.

I'm a sugar cone guy. Though I'm also a "chocolate dip" guy for soft-serve. It maddens me that you can't have both! (Dipping soft serve in a sugar cone, the ice cream just falls right into the dip.) D'oh!
