The Inca Silver Thread!

Here's one I just got in a trade with a fellow TB'er. It's a 99 or thereabouts. It's inca silver and it has an olive green tint to it, allthough this may not be the best pic of it. I had no idea that this is somthing that happens to the color over time. I think the color is cool. I don't particularly like the vintage tint on the headstock, don't think it goes with the more modern silver color but that's cool.

How many of the above basses are actually Inca Silver, opposed to Chrome Silver? I have an older Strat that's Inca Silver & it has the greenish tinge to it, that IMO is what Inca is all about. Friend has a Fender Chrome Silver MIA JazzV that is more the color of the Laklands.

I had that bass awhile, and yes it is awesome. Very nice silver, and a beauty of a fingerboard.

Unless it's new, then I had one just like it. Anyway, given the basses you have, fo you to say it's "KILLER" is very high praise.

I traded mine for a new LEJ 6 and have another new LEJ 6 in the mail currently. If you're lucky, you'll enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

More on-topic, I'm pretty sure it's Inca Silver. At least it closely matched an Inca Silver Fender I had (attached below - the colour can vary a lot depending on lighting).

Yet another "greened" inca silver w/ maple fretboard. This has been my favorite bass since I got it from a fellow TB'er a couple years ago. It was stolen and recovered six months later. It will go with me to the grave.

Exactly. I had a P and J in Inca Silver which is from the Corvette color of the late '50s and it definitely has a greenish tinge to it in real life. Mine looked really good with a mint or black pearl 'guard.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth I owned an Inca Silver pair. MIA P and J basses. It was too much for one man to own :cool:

I like the J, but the P bass was a sleeper. it still ranks as one of the best modern P-basses I've played.

DudePit old timers will recall that the J had been through a lot of hands, and I kept up that tradition.
