The Inca Silver Thread!

Here is one I used to have. This pic is of the guy who bought it from me. I am still kicking myself for ever selling it.

I bought it from the guy who bought it from him. It has found it's permanent home.

OP - Great thread topic!

I recently parted with this JerryScheff 4-String. However, I managed keep a few photos of this Inca Silver Lakland beast.

With original Rosewood Fretted (RWF) neck and with optional Ebony Lined Fretless (ELF) neck installed.

I thought I’d resurrect an old thread rather that start a new one. I just bought this gorgeous Inca Silver American Precision deluxe. When I opened the box for the first time (I bought it on eBay) I was initially disappointed at the green tinge. That’s how I found this thread, and the original silver finish does indeed fade to green. I’ve been giving the bass a clean-up and removed the scratch plate, and you can actually see how the colour has changed, see the attached photos. The guitar is in very good condition and the chrome looks as new so I’m pretty sure it’s been stored in a case rather than on a wall, which makes it even stranger that the colour has changed so much. In other words its not UV that caused it to fade.
