Guys, let's officially talk about the bass pack 2.0 for JamUp, amps, pedals, effects, racks, etc.

What do you guys want?

Surprise a fender silverface bassman or a 300 pro 8x10 sound please
Eden
Some of my others have been mentioned like an orange ad200
Acoustic 360

Pedals
I really don't use em hardly maybe a bass related EQ

The maestro Brassmaster fuzz pedal

Boost circuit on the GK amp or a newer GK like the 700rbII.

I like the idea of a bass specific octave pedal like the EBS.

Some type of synth distortion effect. This might take some doing but I think you guys are up for the challenge ;) the Red Ripper by Tech 21 or Source Audio multiwave distortion pedals

Gotta go through a whole lotta reading to try and get an answer to the simplest stuff.

It may be time for a new section on talkbass labeled iOS.

Sounds like a good reason for a new section with it's own threads. I can think of half-a-dozen topics off the top off my head that are each worthy of at least their own mega thread, if not sub-forums with a forum.

  • IOS getting started (e.g. the '101' thread)
  • IOS for recording
  • IOS for practice
  • IOS hardware
  • IOS software
  • Making the most of an iPhone

(sure I could add more if I went back to the 1st post in '101')

There's overlap there ... which to me suggests a subforum for IOS rather than a forum with rigid subforums for hardware, software etc.

This is a brand new thread :)

Sounds like you think a new subforum isn't necessary ... I don't follow.

He means the thread is moving quickly.

Yeah it's not like a new iOS thread would not be welcome its the deal that duke had made this one because the iRig thread and the virtual portaflex club thread and other threads had kinda got off subject since jamup came on the scene, and there needed to be one that encompassed all iOS amp sims apps and their counterparts and using them to there fullest capabilities and the user who used them in a variety of ways.
Who knew from just the 17th of December that it would have had such a fast growing and fast paced as it has been. Almost 50 pages in about 2 weeks. Crazy :D

I agree. It might not be a bad idea for the Admins to make a separate section in the forum for iOS music, because with threads like these growing this fast, there's a ton of information that is going to be lost in these pages. It would be much better to start a new thread when off-topic discussions happen.
