The JHS 3 Series Pedals

Here he goes through and explains all the pedals in depth and even includes the schematics!
Overdrive = soft clipping with a strange "tone control" that changes both EQ and clipping. Clipping switch: silicon or LEDs.
Fuzz = Silicon Fuzz Face with bias control and fat switch.
Compressor = Ross/Dyna comp type with treble switch and attack knob.
Distortion = Slightly modded RAT with clipping switch: stock silicon or LEDs (Turbo Rat). OP07 op-amp.
Reverb, Delay and Chorus are all digital based on the FV-1 chipset. They all use the same exact PCB, just with different code loaded into the chip, so massively cost saving.

Sounds pretty good to me.
I want pedals that work for both guitar and bass, do you people build separate pedalboards ?

Off the top of my head, overdrive, distortion, fuzz. But then again they seemed to only leave each one at only one setting. So maybe just a bad demo. Cool playing, though.

Unfortunately yeah, even if I use some of the same pedals they're in different arrangements with different settings. I probably put more wear and tear on my pedals and cables reconfiguring everything to switch between guitar and bass than I do carrying the board to shows and plugging it in.

yeah, fuzz didn't sound very convincing. Chorus also didn't do it for me in this demo.

The delay sounded quite promising though.

Overall I rate these as very unimpressive. I can get same sounds from $30 mosky's or mooers. Hard pass.

Plenty of room to apply your own stickers/paint/sharpie if you need visual cues to tell them apart.

I wonder how many of these will be unsellable second hand due to the custom art choices people make.

JHS makes really interesting and entertaining youtube videos and he is really knowledgeable about pedals, but meh....I have tried a few and was largely underwhelmed so far. I couldnt imagine his budget line being more impressive than his premium line...whats a worthwhile JHS pedal that is wow worthy anyway?

) from the past, having a JHS pedal on your board is kinda like having a fulltone pedal on your board. If there was something special about it maybe...but a $99 pricetag doesnt seem special enough to get me excited.

Great idea for a line of pedals.

JHS doing a pretty good job of supplying pedals at a good price at a time when people are feeling financially pinched.

I think the white is nice.

None of those designs are up my alley.

Funny to hear people who have great taste and expensive pedals on their boards suggesting you could buy a pedal of wish or aliexpress for 1/100th the price. Odd.

Just got the overdrive and I love it. I was able to add a little edge without loosing low end. I currently have the overdrive going into a MXR bass comp. I'm also thinking about the chorus as well.........
