The Kramer Club

'83 Kramer Focus 7000. I won't need a number as it is currently for sale.:hmm:

I did some digging around for info on the DMZ 6000 and found there were actually two different body/neck configurations one with the cutaways and the wider light wood through the body and one with no cut aways and narrower light wood through the center of the body. So I thought from the pics that mine was a 6000. were the 5000's passive? I am not pretending to be any kind of expert here nor does it really matter what model it is but it would be nice to be calling it the right model so I don't look like a total moron to the rest of the world.

ya if that day comes that mine bites the dust and cracks I'll replace it with a brass one for sure....I'd still like to know if the tree is supposed to be perfectly straight, or needs the slight bend in it to work properly....

The plastic nut on mine once unglued! it didn't brake thankfully. I just glued it back in place.

I was wrong about the string tree, IT IS SLIGHTLY BENT! i had never noticed that before...

The headstock angle can do that... it's not uncommon at all, (at least IME) to see old Kramer's with the nut broken off on ebay.. there was a gorgeous FORUM ONE IN MINT GREEN :bawl: awhile back that had the nut broken off.

I have a focus 8000 I am redoing. It looks like a Black Explorer with a Black Fender Type Headstock.

It will be sweet when I get this project done. I am probably putting way to much into this bass but it has a lot of sentimental value.

Nice. I saw that for sale in the Classifieds. I meant to send you a PM on it, not to buy, but to tell you that the pickup is most likely Schaller, but could just as easily be Dimarzio. Dimarzio even made lots of pickups that got branded Schaller.
And yes, those were only made from 1980-1981.
If you have any other questions on it, let me know here, or you could always PM me.

While it is for sale.... care to join the Kramer Klub? :D
