Well, there ya go folks... Alot of people are inactive now, etc.
I'mma PM people numbers now... :help:

sweet Thanks :D

well I got the F3 cleaned up, restrung..etc, and honestly for what it is it plays very nice, the preamp board is huge and takes up the whole bottom of the cavity with everything mounted to it but there is no "name" on it to tell who made it for ESP/Kramer, beyond everyone thinking it was Spector to match the pups.

The string tree was bent, unless it was supposed to be that way, and I took it off, and I cant tell the difference on or off, so off it stays cause it covered up the TR cover anyway and looked ********.

as a side note, the thing does fit in the
Charvel cases I have, not exactly to the foam, but close enough if I ever want to take it out of the house....

and KBF, heres the crazy made to fit board..

Yep... that'd make sense...
Kinda given that Spector had an import line made in Korea from 86-90'.... And Kramer Owned Spector, it'd only make sense that Parts were shared...?
The Forum Series WAS meant to kinda be a Spector Bass in Kramer clothing...
But you said you don't think the wiring has been tampered with?
Because I've been thinking about the funny things the knobs do...

nope that wiring is fresh, im gonna desolder one pup at a time as well as attaching it to the opposite board connections..it could be a bad j pickup..just cause theres a mag field dont mean its working. Ill figure it out.

and ya they are sealed with no stickers on the bottoms under the foampad to tell you what they are.

Glad ya like it! I am just now gettin to read all your comments....yeah it is the same preamp they they put in the import Spectors of the time...which is why I loved the sound of the Forum 3 so much! Glad it arrived safe and sound! Enjoy....cause it rocks Baby! (Incidentally, if something happens and you dont like the preamp and decide to change it out...PLEASE let me buy the preamp back from ya!)
well Thundars bass is now in a new home :)

review from it strictly being "out of the box"...

very clean just like he said.
everything works, just like he said
the deal went good just like I hoped

thanks THUNDAR.

does this club have numbers

Haha... I like the Pointy headstocks. :D
BUT... I may Have a Spector P pickup available at some time.
I agree with that... The Spectors are good, but EMG's sound better...
My Forum Four has EMG's, and my Forum Three Has (or Had) Spectors.

sorry for all the questions and pics, but that IS what this is all about right?

so let someone tell me who fu***d up this headstock with that circle

and FYI, the D string tuner has been replaced cause 3 of the 4 say kramer on them and you can see with the washer differences under the clover.

and that stupid string tree made the strings grind into the back of the nut all these years...again, this is not a boutique bass fresh out of the factory, and slowly the little items that are messed up will get fixed, but like the Charvels, anything 80's and Pointy is attractive to me. It sounds totally different than my other ones, so for now the excitement has not worn off just yet and I'll play on it. ( the neck is not the same as the Charvel neck ), just a little less "flat" on the back, and a smidge wider, but well within the parameters of being a "fast neck".

It wasnt me who dicked up the headstock...I promise! LOL...I did notice that circle too, but I never noticed the tuner being replaced. As far as the string tree goes, I never thought much about it...figured it was there for some reason, so I left it...plus I have a weird "thing" about holes being left in basses where something once was...LOL.

ya KBF says they all have the tree, but who knows what for, maybe less nut binding on the D+G strings since they have quite an angle ...

the holes will disappear if that tree really don't have to be on there, since I restrung it with the tree on played it then took it off...nothing changed that I could tell.
